Course Details

Course Overview

Whether you are at the beginner, intermediate, or advanced level, this training will inject into you the relevant skills and accelerated practical understanding required to independently design and build Software for companies using ASP.NET 3.5 – Software that are scalable, robust, dynamic, and secure.

The course begins with an introduction to ASP.NET, explaining the architecture of a web application, object-oriented programming, a brief history of ASP.NET and the features of ASP.NET 3.5. You will then develop a new web site. Using this new site, the structure and practical concepts of a web application, including variable and object scopes will be explained.

You will be practically exposed to ADO.NET and all data structures and be shown all methods of accessing any database, and how to insert data into, maintain data, and retrieve data from database tables.

Data-driven web application projects will be built in almost all topics. You will know the concept of, and how to program, all the ASP.NET controls.

You will be trained hands-on in the ASP.NET areas such as User Controls, Master Pages, Site Navigation, Web Services, and Web Security; and be practically exposed to new areas such as AJAX, Silver light, and Web Parts.

You will be taught how to create and consume classes and objects; ASP.NET application configuration, and component based programming. Each student must complete a full-scale project, using best practices, by the end of the training.

The course will be delivered in both C# and Visual Basic.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of HTML and web page creation is required. But the course will run you through these technologies, if not already acquired.

Target Audience

This course is for individuals (Students, Youths, and staffs of organizations) who have been eager to acquire a down-to-earth understanding of ASP.NET 3.5 or who already have some knowledge of the subject but desires to acquire in-depth practical understanding of ASP.NET 3.5.

It is also for purposeful or visionary persons who want to acquire practical understanding of Microsoft ASP.NET 3.5 and develop real-world web applications

Course Goals and Objectives

The goal of this course is to make the participants to acquire the relevant skills and accelerated practical understanding required to independently design and build Software for companies using ASP.NET 3.5

At the end of the Training, students will:

  • Be exposed to how to create and configure a web application
  • Understand, and be able to use, all the ASP.NET controls
  • Know how to use navigation controls
  • Understand and use ADO.NET with Data Controls and information display controls
  • Know how to connect to, and manipulate, database tables
  • Use AJAX to improve web site performance
  • Understand and Apply new ASP.NET features such as Silverlight and Web parts
